Know and Love and Love and Know

For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I have been fully known. So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love. (1Cor 13:12-13)

When, in glory, you fully know the LORD, how do you think you will you feel about Him?

You will love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

We will love the LORD most completely because we will know the truth about Him most accurately.

The better we know Him, the more we’ll love Him.

The LORD knows you fully... How do you think He feels about you?

He loves you—all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

God loves us perfectly. He knows us completely. God knows everything and… loves us.

  • The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms. (Deut 33:27)

  • I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you. (Jer 31:3)

  • For God so loved the world, that He gave his only Son (John 3:16)

  • See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are.  (1John 3:1)

What would it mean to live today in light of God’s perfect love of you?
What would change if you understood how loved that is? How loved you are?

What would it mean to live in light of God’s perfect loveliness?
What would change were we to begin each day with the understanding that were we to know God truly and completely, all He does and is doing, we would not just trust Him, but we would love Him?

You are perfectly loved. God is absolutely lovely.

That’s what the Rubik’s cube will look like when it’s finally solved.

But even today, you can pull these truths out of your pocket, look at them, and know. And surely that will help.
