What God Did with His Authority: Jeremiah 18-19
God has absolute authority over all things. And with that authority God calls to us to repent and to believe. But many refuse this, and so they will be judged by God.
We actually need to repent; God actually wants to save us.
Sometimes these truths can get lost, confused, by passages like Jeremiah 18-19, when they’re taken out of context.
And so God came to us in Jesus Christ to make clear that all His authority is attached to His love, and every command to repent is always attached to Jesus.
Jesus defines repentance—repentance is about Jesus. And this changes everything.
