The Question of Faith: 2022 Pastoral Sabbatical Reflections
Sabbaticals, if they are good, return me to the essential truths, to basic, core, key matters of faith. And so it is no surprise that what I thought about most this Sabbatical was the Question of Faith.
The Question of Faith, as shaped by Isaiah 30:15, is, “Am I willing to trust the LORD, again, today?”
The story of Elijah in 1 Kings 18-19 guided my reflections, as did conversation about these things with my sabbatical coach.
