Real Peace, Joy, and Hope: Jeremiah 9:23-24

What matters most, is what matters most to us. If that’s our own wisdom or power, or our personal wealth, this will not only corrode our lives but lose our souls and gain God’s judgment. These things—more or less good things, generally speaking—cannot be ultimate things for us.

Only God can be our ultimate good. This is the lesson of Jeremiah 9:23-24… and Luke 4, beginning in verse 1… and 1Corinthians 1:30-31. It’s a lesson for all time. It’s a lesson for today.
