The True World: 1 John 5:18-20
John’s closing summary of his first letter includes three things that “We know.” These encompass everything from “the Whole World” to the work of “The Son of God who came” and also that of “the evil one.” It also includes our place in this drama. It’s an entire cosmology, captured in brief, and is not only essential that we know, but essential for believers to know that we know.
We know what we need to know in order to live in the True World well.
